Dr. Daniel W. Hamblin is the owner of and sole practitioner at Alpine. A 1986 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Hamblin has been practicing in and around the Chicago area since earning his degree. Dr. Hamblin purchased Alpine Animal Hospital in March of 2000 and now makes Lake Zurich his home (he lives only 200 yards from the hospital!). Dr. Hamblin has seven cats (three of which live at the hospital) and two German Shepherds. The dogs accompany him to work every day and serve as hairy goodwill ambassadors. Dr. Hamblin enjoys being an "only doctor" because it ensures continuity of care and his patients can be assured of seeing the same doctor every time. He emphasizes client education so that clients can make informed decisions about their pet's health care needs. Clients at Alpine Animal Hospital can call Dr. Hamblin at home (or on his cell phone) when the hospital is closed. He tries to make himself available, at least for consultation, whenever possible. Dr. Hamblin is a firm believer in referring those cases where a patients needs are best met with a specialist. Feel free to call Dr. Hamblin at Alpine if you have any questions about him or his practice!
